Hi, I've read the The Sims 2 solution and need to know if that will support a resolution of 2800x2100 (two monitors in span mode), and if it won't, what's the closest to that. Also, I was kind of confused with how you are supposed to change the file, could someone show me exactly where I edit? THANKS!!! |

What displays support 2100 lines and are the some weird widescreens in portrat mode or what is up with that aspect ratio? Regardless, I've never even seen a videocard listing support for that many lines of resolution. |

I multiplied my current resolution (1400x1050) to get that one. I would make a separate user name on my comptuer (with XP), just to run The Sims 2 and possibly SimCity 4. Will the solution that let's me make the game widescreen run that high, or will it not work because my video card doesn't support it? Thanks. |

Wouldnt that be 2800x1050 then? (an even weirder res) since you'll be putting them side by side you wouldnt multiply the vertical res at all right? or maybe i just dont knnow what you're talking about. |

Yep ... the res would be 2800x1050 ... not ... 2800x2100 Why ask if it will work ? ... why not just try it ? There shouldn't be any reason for creating a separate user name. You do realise that the game is Vert- ... which means that the view will be cut off the top and bottom, rather than adding to the left and right. So you will see less ... or will it not work because my video card doesn't support it?We would need to know what video card you have to answer that ... I was kind of confused with how you are supposed to change the file, could someone show me exactly where I edit?I don't have the game but reading the solution ... You need to change these lines ... setting $High uintProp maxResWidth 1600 uintProp maxResHeight 1200 uintProp defaultResWidth 1024 uintProp defaultResHeight 768 To ... setting $High uintProp maxResWidth 2800 uintProp maxResHeight 1050 uintProp defaultResWidth 2800 uintProp defaultResHeight 1050 |

Okay, sorry, I messed up with the doubling. My bad. But I've been having trouble editing that file, I did it once and now it won't let me modify the file, and it's not in read-only mode. But now I realize that without horizontal span mode (because they dont have that in Vista), that I can't get it across two monitors. Will the Dual Head 2 Go have the same gaming utility and stuff as the TH2G? |

Will the Dual Head 2 Go have the same gaming utility and stuff as the TH2G?Not having a DH2G I do not know but most games that it configures are configurable without it ... Do you really want to do gaming on dual screens with the join of the screens in the centre of your view ? |

The game is The Sims 2, the action is never centered anyways. |
