Gunbound is a stubborn little game, with its nProtect program and security issues I haven't found how to successfully run this game at anything that looks playable. For some strange reason when I run Gunbound and hit the Display button on my TV to see its resolution, I see its been set to 1920x1080i...and having tested that resolution while setting up my TV I know thats what its running at.

So my question is, why when my native and default resolution is 1360x768, and Gunbound I think forces 800x600 no matter what...why is it running at 1920x1080 but with Gunbound actually in a small 800x600 box in the middle with black bars? If it loaded as 1360x768 with a 800x600 box I think it might be acceptable...but I have no idea where 1920x1080 came from. I've had no problems getting any other games I play to run in an acceptable form...but this high resolution with 30FPS is painful to look at.

Playing around with the settings on the TV doesn't seem to do anything, I've tried changing aspect ratios, zooming, cropping and everything to see if it could make it playable. I'd like to be able to play this game since I know a lot of people who do..but right now my eyes are begging me not to. Help!

iirc some other company took over from softnyx but the softnyx one is still going , i think under 'world champion' not sure what the other one is called.

edit: research done.
one is 'gunbound revolution' by ijji
the other is 'gunbound world champion' by softnyx

Supposedly American players can't play the old one, I've tried and it says that I have to go to ijji.com and play Revolution, which I had been playing on my old computer and monitor but now its running in this crazy unplayable resolution.
