Hey guys, i need serious help. I have a LCD Widescreen Samsung 17´´ 740 nw, a Nvidia Geforce 8500gt and i installed age of empires 3. When i run it, the screen turns black and a error message appears that says:

Initialization Failed. Direct3D initialization failed. Possible causes: Old or corrupted graphics driver. Direct3D improperly installed. Hardware acceleration disabled. Starting the application with the workstation locked. Please check the log file for more information.

So i installed a new graphic driver, i checked the direct3d ,etc... Everything is correct. So i ran the game again but the same message appeared. Then i discovered that if i use an old monitor, the game works. So the problem is the LCD screen. I spent a whole day changing everything (the settings of both the screen and the video card) and i got nothing. When i was finally giving up, i changed the resolution to 1024*768 and a the color quality to 16 bit: big surprise the game worked. I played it and i turned my pc offf. The next morning i turned it on to play some more but something changed and the same error message reappeared. I´ve spent two days trying to figure out what is the problem but until now i´ve not been able to make it work again... Help!!!!!!
I´d really appreciate any feedback... Thanks.
