Juz got my Dell 2005FPW monitor, and feeling nostalgia I decided to install Half Life GOTY, Opposing Force and Blue Shift. Anyone knows if it possible to get them running in widescreen at 1680 x 1050 resolution?

Try the Steam versions of the games. They should support your widescreen option. |

Widescreen resolutions are available for those games when using Steam. They are quite playable BUT the top and bottom of the view is chopped off ... :( Anyone know of a FOV fix ? Without Steam ...

Sorry, know nuts abt Stream version. When you said Stream version, does that mean I can select 1680 x 1050 resolution? Also how do I check whether mine are Stream version? |

Find out about Steam here ... (at the very top) http://www.steampowered.com/ Get Steam here ... http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=getsteamnow Register your games with Steam... Play them via Steam ... ... and then as I said ... Widescreen resolutions are available for those games when using Steam 1680 x 1050 is a widescreen resolution ... so ... Yes you can play at 1680 x 1050 .... :D ... but as I showed in the screenshots the top and bottom are cut off ... :( |
