Juz got my Dell 2005FPW monitor, and feeling nostalgia I decided to install Half Life GOTY, Opposing Force and Blue Shift. Anyone knows if it possible to get them running in widescreen at 1680 x 1050 resolution?

Try the Steam versions of the games. They should support your widescreen option.

Widescreen resolutions are available for those games when using Steam.
They are quite playable BUT the top and bottom of the view is chopped off ... :(

Anyone know of a FOV fix ?

Without Steam ...

With Steam ...

Sorry, know nuts abt Stream version. When you said Stream version, does that mean I can select 1680 x 1050 resolution? Also how do I check whether mine are Stream version?

Hello ...
Sorry, know nuts abt Stream version. When you said Stream version, does that mean I can select 1680 x 1050 resolution? Also how do I check whether mine are Stream version?

Find out about Steam here ... (at the very top)
http://www.steampowered.com/
Get Steam here ...
http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=getsteamnow

Register your games with Steam...
Play them via Steam ...
... and then as I said ...
Widescreen resolutions are available for those games when using Steam

1680 x 1050 is a widescreen resolution ... so ... Yes you can play at 1680 x 1050 .... :D ... but as I showed in the screenshots the top and bottom are cut off ... :(
