I had modified my copy of uniwis with:

[Need for Speed: Most Wanted]
details=Patches any game version, works on any SPEED.EXE13101310Select the 640x480 resolution in game to use your custom resolution.
checkfile=speed.exe
modfile=speed.exe
sig=80020000C701E0010000
sigwild=0000110000
xoffset=0
yoffset=6
occur=1

[Need for Speed: Carbon]
details=Patches any game version, works on any NFSC.EXE13101310Select the 640x480 resolution in game to use your custom resolution.
checkfile=nfsc.exe
modfile=nfsc.exe
sig=80020000C701E0010000
sigwild=0000110000
xoffset=0
yoffset=6
occur=1

not sure if the .exe change but they can be just about any name I think, I have about a dozen nfsmw_widthxheight.exe in my folder which I made to play depending which monitor I'm using.

Can anyone confirm this works for NFS:MW?
What versions?

Sadly it didn't work for me. Thanks for posting it though? I still hope someone figures this out. :)
Edit: Speel check.

The codes I posted above work for me. I forget where I got the .exe to patch but it shows v1.3 and is 6,029,312 bytes large. I also know it works with the original .exe as I used it with a cd image, since it crashed more I ended up going with a nocd.

I also know that at some point UniWis simply stopped working and I modified the .exe myself with xvi32 (hex editor) after I compared 2 already patched .exe to see what offset were changed.

Do you think it would be okay if you shared yours (that is if you use 1440x900)?

One of the .exe I made while I had my 19" ws is 1440x900. I remember there was another post about this with the offsets instead of the non-functionnal uniwis with someone else's general purpose offset patcher, couldn't find it with search anyone know where it is? it would let you make your own .exe.

As far as I can tell the most recent version has self destructed.

You should be able to get it from here.
Edit, if anyone wants to try it I added NFS-MW and NFS-Carbon to the .ini file. I'm only able to test Carbon right now as that's all I have installed, but it seems to work. I really need someone to try Most wanted.

Download Here

I've tried uniwis and for whatever reason it no longer functions, can't seem to see the .exe. Even with the version of it I've used previously.

Confirmed for Need For Speed: Most Wanted.
1920x1200 works fine.
Thanks, that's much better than the launcher.

Now all we need is an FOV fix on these games.
