Yeah it is brutal, I had to stop playing it @ 5760x1080 made me barf  , other than that is is amazing so it be a shame if it could not be fixed(fingers crossed).

I tried the following and it did nothing which is odd:

[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

What about the Borderlands GOTY - Enhanced Edition? I heard a lot of people have been accidentally running just Borderlands GOTY instead of the enhanced edition.

It's a separate game install that shows up in Steam and easy to know if you are running Borderlands GOTY Enhanced Edition(besides the name is diff in Steam) since the exe is now 64bit and uses DX11. One can easily switch to task manager and see if Borderlands has the (32 bit) beside it and then know that they are using the old game and not new one.

It works, but it breaks the sprinting FOV. Seems to increase to over 140 whenever I sprint :?

make sure to compare with original .exe not patched because it does scaling fov in all resolution

Ah yes, my apologies. I just compared with a unpatched version and the patch did work. One thing though, the sprinting FOV goes completely bananas on 120 with the patch. Is that a permanent side effect or is it fixable?

Replace BorderlandsGOTY.exe in the game folder - BorderlandsGOTYEnhanced.7z

  • All supported resolution unlocked in the game menu
  • Hor+ (set FOV — 70 to get the same FOV as in not Enhanced version)

Oh.... i did get the feeling the FoV was making me dizzy while playing in 32:9 with FoV slider on the maximum.
Now that makes sense...

Ty, i'll try the fix after i've completed Borderlands 2. Only on level 61 now :rockout:

Let me know if the email you PMed me a while ago is still legit I want to PayPal you a $100 as a small thank you. Just PM me your email if it changed so the money goes to the right spot.

Fixed version with FOV at 110 @ 5760x1080:

Is there a way to disable head bob while sprinting? I've been having to scroll through my weapons to prevent it when I sprint, otherwise I want to barf.

lol it's a pretty jarring head-bob isn't it. So jerky it makes it feel like the framerate is bad.

Side question, are you running reshade or something? Your game looks really colourful

An easy way to do this on Nvidia and AMD GPUs in direct in their driver software:

For Nvidia crank the Digital vibrance to 80%

I am not on my AMD dev box right now but I am pretty sure it is under the Color settings and they call it [ Color Saturation ] it works exactly the same way. Juice it to like 150% that is = to Nvidia's 80% if I remember correctly. Both of them own if you need the color boost, it is pretty rad actually.

Good eye, yes. I discovered ReShade last year and I use it as much as I can. It makes a huge difference in visual quality. In Borderlands, the colors look more rich and vivid and the textures look sharper and more gritty.

The filters I used for Borderlands are DPX, LumaSharpen, Colourfulness, AdaptiveSharpen, Clarity, FXAA, and Vibrance. It has been my experience that filters that work well in one game tend to work well in most other games. It's not a foregone conclusion, but it's usually true. You have to experiment.

I also removed the border around everything using the same trick from the original Borderlands. In Windows 10:

1. Go to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Borderlands Game of the Year\WillowGame\Config

2. Open WillowEngine.ini

3. Find DefaultPostProcessName=WillowEngineMaterials.WillowScenePostProcess

4. Change to DefaultPostProcessName=EngineMaterials.ScenePostProcess

Yeah....
Is it any better with a wider FoV? or does it get worse.
I've realized there was head bobbiing and was like "please no.... make it stop"

Love the effort this community puts into eyefinity support! The .exe patch looks great, for some reason though my left screen is mirroring the wire frame image of the right screen; all ghostly like...strange I know. Anyone having similar issues?

Replace BorderlandsGOTY.exe in the game folder - BorderlandsGOTY_no_shake.7z

  • Camera shake is disabled at sprinting

Disable in-game FXAA, use FXAA in the driver or ReShade.

I don' t know if you are the person that fixed this or not, but either way, I took the time to register an account just so that I can thank you for Fixing the Camera Shake/ Head Bob while sprinting. I've been searching everywhere for a way to fix it. I've requested help on the steam forums, the official gearbox forums, countless of cheat engine forums, then someone linked this to me. I've never been able to play any of the borderlands games because of this problem that the devs have ignored all these years. Idk if this fix exists for borderlands 2 but now I can at least enjoy borderlands 1. Thank you so much. I'm really grateful. You have no idea how many people you will actually help play this game. Thank you thank you thank you. If you haven't can you make the same fix for borderlands 2? :P

Is FXAA on? That might be the same bug that was mentioned earlier.

I would just like to point out that the cel shading is 3X as thick as it should be horizontally. It makes things look a little wonky. I have included a screenshot for example.

Could be that dude. FXAA is off after reading the earlier posts, I got the wire frame effect similar as someone further up.

Disable Ambient Occlusion and see if that fixes it. I believe I had to disable AO in the Borderlands video settings, then activate Ambient Occlusion in Nvidia Inspector to get those lines to go away.

In ReShade, I recommend SMAA instead of FXAA because it produces superior results. Also disable FXAA from the in-game menu as it's not needed.
