That's because bf1942 does support 1600 x 1200 but not 1280 x 1024. Since you own a monitor that has a max res of 1280 x 1024 the 1600 x 1200 option isn't displayed.

so then If I did the mod to play at 1280 * 1024 then there would be some stretching or scaleing or some other consequence or no?

If yes, than thats ok, as long as I can get it to display 960 pixels virtical with black bars Ill be just as happy

( properties/advanced/Geforce 5500/ flat panel display ) option ?

as of now, with this card and drivers, the panel option doesnt exist

Yep, but it won't be really noticable since we are speaking of just a vertical difference of 64 pixels. It wouldn't make a real big difference.

You know what would be great right now, an updated pair of 4:3 vs. widescreen aspect ratio screenshots for BF 1942. The current pair in the screenshots section are taken from different places. :roll: :wink:
