As it was for far cry 5 the fov in far cry new dawn is locked at 60, any way to unlock it? For far cry 5 someone posted a solution so I think something similar can be done in this case.

Hey Guys we have made a thread regarding this issue on the official Far Cry New Dawn PC support page, and they seem to have passed it on to the devs(well fingers crossed they did...):

If you guys could just add a small post in the URL above and say something like "I support this thread/fix request please look into a proper solution/fix for this on going issue, thanks." that would be great and really help our cause to finally have proper FOV support in Far Cry now and going forward.

Done... I also opened a support case with Ubisoft Support: Case Number 08071454. There hasn't been any response to it yet as it was opened three days ago on the 16th, two of which were weekend days. However, as you say, the more folks that comment and keep the thread current on the board the more notice it will receive.

That’s what I did: I used on far cry new dawn the same exe “unlock fov” that was created for far cry 5 and by doing so I managed to unlock the fov slider within the game but despite that the changes are ignored. Any help?

As suggested in another forum by PaddyWak (https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1 ... cked/page3) I tried the version 3 of the unlock fov but still no luck, the slider works but it has no effect on the game. (I got the deluxe edition, pre-ordered)

Yeah I have the same issue, that fix removes the lock on the FOV UI element only the actual FOV value has no effect on multi screen configs they have locked it to 60. Regardless of what you set it to in the slider it is ignored and has no effect.

It is cool however if you just have a single Ultra Wide screen it does fix it.

So we just have to hope Ubisoft fixes it for us multi-screen users, thanks for the effort PaddyWak though.

Man I love this game so much and @ 5760x1080 it looks incredible! It is insane Ubisoft locked the FOV, it works perfectly I just don't get it and will never under stand.... I have always said they don't have relevant PC gamers on the team or it is simply out sourced ports.

Not working with latest update 1.04 from 3-14-19. Fov unlocked but its not saving the config.

Thanks for the heads up I am not going to go into online mode then and loose the fix, hopefully they did not jack it up. I take it they did not fix the game them selves?

Well hopefully when Jackfuste has some time he can check it out and update his fix.

• Run Unlock_FOV.exe and apply patch to FC_m64.dll
• Run game and setup desired FOV in the game menu

With apologies for begging, is there any chance of an updated unlocker for the 1.05 version? Held off buying this until the good folks of WSGF had figured out a patch, bought and installed a few days ago once I'd seen it fixed and have been having a blast, but as of this morning uPlay refused to launch it unless I updated to the latest version, even in offline mode, and while the 1.04 unlocker does unlock the FOV option in menus the changes are not reflected in-game.

On a related topic, @Jackfuste, do you have a donations page or similar? Single-handedly saving us from Ubi's pants-on-head decisions, and I would like to express gratitude.

Same here, 1.05 messed everything. Waiting for a patch update, willing to donate. I wanna keep playing the game please.
