Widescreen Gaming Forum

So recently I've been trying to get kotor in a widescreen resolution. 1600x900. I read up on a lot of guides and found out about this program that patches it. However, you need a crack exe in order for the patch to work. They said I would need the 1.3 version crack for it to be compatible so I downloaded it. Everything was fine at first.. the game launched at the right res and everything. (Aside from the HUD not being right despite downloading a mod that was supposed to be for 1600x900) Then when I went to boot it up a second time the exe just would not load. No matter what I try it won't start. I have it on compatibility for xp service pack 2 and I tried windows 2000. Nothing.

Then suddenly a few hours later I thought.. what the hell let's try it.. AND IT BOOTS! I was like.. Okay??? After discovering the HUD still wasn't the same I downloaded another mod into the override and tried to boot it up again and guess what? It didn't boot. It seems like it only works when it wants to. I can't find anything online that helps me solve this issue. I tried replacing the Mss32.dll file and that didn't work. I'm at my wits end here.
