For some reason, people have been using hacks that are hard to execute on the WII which they used a chip that would protect the wii from getting hacked and with the Swiss dol file being used in-order to achieve widescreen in that Gamecube game. Another method that cannot happend on TV is Dolphin Emulator's widescreen hack that would make that game widescreen but it can't on TV without any hacks used. The aspect ratio x and y values can be found on the main.dol file in the Gamecube iso. All regions including all of it's versions from 1.0 - 1.2 on NTSC and the PAL version to be edited. If anyone could identify where the hex value can be found in through the main.dol file, please change a value to whatever since it's hard to find in the file. Also make it to even wider screens wider than 16:9 and 16:10 through the file. When the file is edited with a hex editor, be sure to test it in Dolphin emulator and set the aspect ratio to Stretch to Window for wider resolutions and 16:10 and set it to Force 16:9 when working with 16:9 widescreen in the dol file that would make that game execute in a desired aspect ratio value within HOR+ method.

I don't understand. Are you trying to edit a file on the emulator side in order to carry it over to the actual GC to make it widescreen?

The latest version of Dolphin already has a widescreen hack that works very well. I can play all, if not most Wii and GC games on the emulator via Surround -- basically, it will scale to any aspect ratio. That's how I played my copy of Wind Waker actually.

Yes, it can only be done by editing the .dol file located in the iso if you don't want to use other hacks and cheat codes in-order to use widescreen.
