Hey everyone,

I don't normally post, but I was curious to see if anyone on here was as excited about Star Citizen from Cloud Imperium Games as I am. It's the same people behind the old school wing commander titles.

I sent them the following email and will post back here with their reply as soon as I receive it.

"Hello everyone at Cloud Imperium Games,

I'm Pocketjazzy, a fellow hardcore gamer and extremely excited for your upcoming title like many of you I'm sure. I probably fall somewhere closer to the enthusiast category of gamers, because of my early adoption of Nvidia Surround and SLI technology. What drew me in to it in the first place was the sense of immersion that this technology brings to the user, and seeing how it's one of your main selling points of Star Citizen I feel that it would be a perfect match for it. Unfortunately the gaming industry tends to leave our kind (the widescreen gamers) in the cold when it comes to support and integration due to our small population. Seeing how your game has many similarities to EVE Online (which I'm sure you know had native support for widescreen resolutions) with regards to the scale of the open world environment, I think it would be beneficial to not only your company but your community to natively support a wide range of resolutions. So what I would like to ask your development team is if there are any current plans to support widescreen gaming such as Nvidia Surround or ATI eyefinity? If there is, and you want to test and get feedback from a number of users with different configurations then I highly suggest contacting members at www.wsgf.org (Widescreen Gaming Forum). While I am not a member there, I do lurk their forums like many others for quick fixes, and tips on how to get many mainstream games to work with my setup.

Given that:
"We have backed Oculus Rift and will support it in Star Citizen / Squadron 42. Who doesn’t want to sit in their cockpit, hands on your joystick and throttle, swivelling your head, to track that enemy fighter that just blew by?"
I'm fairly sure triple monitor setups will at least be the correct FoV, otherwise the Oculus Rift just wouldn't work right.

Hehe, when i donated my Part the Forum was still down. So i completly forgot to creat a thread about Eyefinity.

Btw they have 1mio via Website And 250k via Kickstarter atm? Going fast towards 2 Mio :)

I can report that the Hangar module is running in hor+ in Eyefinity resolutions, although you have to set the resolution in system.cfg
r_Fullscreen=1
r_height = 900
r_width = 4536
r_motionblur=0

cryengine is generally quite nice concerning widescreen

ahh that was it. Heard that it starts up at desktop resolution, but i tried at 1920x1080 first, and couldn't find the settings anywhere. guess you have to write them on your own.

I have created a casual organization for Star Citizen in case anyone wants to join the new org system CIG just put in place for chat. The org focus is currently set as social/trading and is for gaming hardware enthusiasts. Name of the org is "Ring of Independent Free Traders". Spectrum ID of RIFT. Currently has a few people from the EVGA forums in it.

Yep, a big holdup is going to be waiting for multi-org. A lot of the casual orgs will be hurting till then.

Hello Everyone WSGF NB here.

Can anyone share how they got their Nvidia 2D Surround working since Arena Commander has been out.
It was running fine at 5760 x 1080 but hasn't run since AC came out. I have 2 GTX 690's on 3 ASUS PB27Q's . I've added SC to the Nvidia settings and have tried both configurations below in the user.cfg. I get the 3 screens on LSD then the Cry Engine crashes.

Did you try to disable SLI ? I had problems with crossfire before.

I believe when you span displays with surround it automatically turns of SLI.

Hello StarCitizen Players.
We need your voice!
Currently the Main Menue UI is NOT optimized for 3 Monitors, It's spanned and looks horrible, but that doesn't really matter, ingame looks fine.
The Problem now is that in the Universe you cannot select the station you want to join because the mouse movement is limited.
This is a bug and needs to be fixed, sadly currently there arent enough Eyefinity/Surround players in Starcitizen and our voice is not loud enough to reach the developers.

So if you have an Star Citizen accound and use multiple Monitors please log into your account, set up a profile and contribute in the issue council to fix this bug.

I hear you, thx for heads up. I have an account and i'm also a backer. I haven't tested it for a year or so now but as soon as Xmas is over i will do some test-runs and check in on that issue.
