Oh awesome, didn't know I could do that with Avisynth. Guess I'll start making those gameplay videos now...

I did that entirely with Avisynth. The fades between 4:3 and 16:9, fade in/out, audio fade in/out, etc.

If you don't have a fast internet connection, I'd let it fill the buffer some or all the way before playing.
