thanks helifax, it works great now.

does anyone else crash to desktop when supersampling is activated in the in-game menu?

+1 (if the resolution is higher than 4096xXXXX I also crash) so I keep it disabled...(as described by vulcan_s)

Glad that it works now:)

I'd love some help with my problems. IN GAME looks fine as far as I've tried it, but the menu looks HORRIBLE.

Resolutions 2400 or so less look normal (unless i turn on the fix at which point the text takes a deep angle). Anything above 2400 or less than 5700 you can still notice the difference, but i can't take ANY pictures of.

Any resolution higher than 2400 or so just gives me all black when i print screen it. Haven't tried with fraps yet, but regular paint and paste it is complete black.

At 5754 X 1082 (only suggesting it gives me above 4000) i see NO difference with or without the patch fix.

Either way the menu is completely zoomed in and stretched out. The top part of the menu is completely cut off the screen. The top of the menu can't even be seen.

Is this the steam version ? or ..something different? By the looks of it..you are not using a legit steam version or is not patched...

This resolution is very weird 5754 X 1082.....are you in window mode ? ...or ?

I've never seen this error before...who gives the error? The game I expect no? Does it work without enabling the WSF plugin?
Have you updated to the latest version? (do you see the nvidia logo cutscene in the game)
Are you using the latest plugin?

Fixed already -didn't even realize this post made it through the whole "there is no topic" error.

It's a legit steam version. The weird resolution was because i didn't realize it was in windowed mode. Not sure what fixed it. I deleted the "fixer" (accidentally). Re-downloaded it. Re-downloaded the dll and everything works perfectly. I'm guessing i had an old DLL or something.

Thanks for all the fixes you provide, Helifax! Using r652 with the plugin you included in this thread, everything worked perfectly. I updated to r662 today and now all menu items are shifted to the left. I'll post some screenshots below.

This includes the .ini fix. I imagine the .ini fix is still necessary, but I'm not sure if I missed something and was supposed to disable that with r662.

Edit: Replacing the plugin from r662 with the one linked in this thread did not change anything. Reverting to r652 and adding the plugin you linked in this thread solves my problem. I mostly just wanted to post for anyone else who had an issue and so you'd be aware.

That is very weird... I tested the latest WSF release and I find the plugin working like before.
How is your plugin configured?
If is on autodetect you should use the same resolution both in windows and in-game.
If you are using different resolutions try to manually configure the plugin.
That should solve the problem.

I'm a moron. My steam folder is in another partition, and I forgot to set the FOV override path after installing the new version. Sorry about that, and thanks for all the work you do!

Hi guys,

Thanks to Helifax for the fix. But RM crash to desktop when i'm using WidescreenFixer-r662 maybe or maybe not i need r652 with the last plugin as someone said just before. But can't find a dl url for this version

Here's my problem : when i launch game with widescreen fixer in backround as usual, games starts fine, but as soon as i activate the fix : game crash to desktop and here is what i can read :

"Fatal error!
Address =0161111b (filename not found) in .\Path...\Rememberme.exe)"

FYI i'm still using the "another release" with no update.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for you reply. Do you mean that i need to lower the res ?

But i'm quite despite that the fix can't run @ full res. Yesterday i give it a go, with the BaseEngine.ini trick and except the menu, "3D Arrows" that indicates your direction, Combo Labs, HUD,etc... it was running as smooth as butter and so impressive

There's aslo an issue with framerate when Crossfire is on. I have no problem when it's off. I'm running two 5770 (i know this is quite old !) with 13.6 beta and no cap. Am i alone with this problem ?

Waiting for others advices... Thanks for your help

The fix works on all resolution et all.
However I see from the above post that you are using a "cracked version" of the game. Cracked versions are not supported nor will they be in the future for any fix that I make.
I am not going to open an old debate on why I decided this, but I think is pretty obvious.
As the WideScreen Fixer plugin says..the currently supported version is Steam V1.1.0

You don't need to open an old debate, the WSGF will not condone or support piracy, and as such we will not allow developers to encourage or support piracy via the WSGF site.

So really there nothing to discuss, the site will not allow it :)

I finally grab my second copy of the game for my eyefinity rig !

Gave it a test yesterday and it's working flawlessly with the fix. Just noticed two "bugs" with the HUD. Here are some snapshots (taken with my phone) to illustrate...

And i saw on Remember me Skid's blog that the bug is there.

If we had a "patch" for that, the fix would be just perfect even if it is already well and many thanks Helifax to make it possible.

Hey, I know I am aware of that bug...
Unfortunately the game doesn't use the "standard way" o having ONE HUD..instead it is split into various elements. In the fix I managed to fix the main menus, and the MAIN hud, however the "secondary one" (hopefully) like you showed is still not fixed.
Due to the nature of how UE3 works it is still hard to find it... I haven't given up hope on it just yet, although I did spend yesterday half the day trying to fix it with no results...
I will try again in the future when I will have more time for it:)

I was wondering where the health bar was, and thought wow the game is pretty hud-less :P Makes it a little tricky in fights not knowing how low your health is, but all good, maybe Helifax can fix it.

I see that error is generated by the game when trying to start (the D9 calls) and apparently cannot create a shader program.
Are you using a laptop? with optimus technology?
Make sure your game tries to use the GPU and not the Intel integrated chipset.

I don;t have any other idea why this error might appear... Is your DirectX up to date?

I had the same opinion as you about the difficulty but I now cover progress in the game in surround mode and I realize that this gauge is still useful to know what kind of combos you must focus on.

But I have faith in the genius of Helifax ! :rockout:

I've added a fix to Flawless Widescreen - to be honest I didn't pay alot of attention as to wither or not the same issues were present with the HUD but do report back.

Both versions have wrong HUD sizes/positions. Is it problem in different version of WSF support of Remember Me (v 1.0.1), my version of game is 1.0.2?

Thanks for any suggestions.

This is not HUD ! See my pics just one page back... I had the same issue but last Widescreen Fixer and the right plugin correct this.

Just a question, @ wich res are u playing the game ?

Didn't test Hayden fix, and still waiting for a new cap from amd for the crossfire fix, but the game is fully playable with last Helifax release...

"Lost Heaven" level test in progress... :rockout:

1366x768px... I tried Flawless Widescreen which have all signs (arrows and so on) correct, but HUD is still messed up. Top right corner portraits, HP bar and combo bar are on wrong positions anyway=(

Anyway, the problem that I see there is the game uses a different RESOLUTION than the one SET IN THE PLUGIN.
I would suggest looking there.

Another issue i found is with SweetFX that doesn't working with Helifax Plugin. I tried this one from GSN Gaming forum http://gsngaming.com/topic/9887-remember-me-sweetfx-v15/ and F12 does anything. That really enhanced (in my opinion) the game. Sure it's a detail. Game is so amazing in Multimonitor (Eyefinity for my part). Any clue for this issue ?

@Helifax
Did you find some time (in your loaded agendas ;-) to investigate the HUD "problem" ? Did you follow my link about HUD infos from UE3 forum (a few pages back). Or it was just useless or something you're already know ?
And one more thing. Is there a way for you to contact Dontnod Entertainment to include those magic line codes in an update ?

Hey,

I know the link that you sent me, as a matter of fact I worked in UE3 quite alot and have created a complete (demo)game for iOS. However, the info in that link is pretty useless in this case since I don't have access to the game source code.. What I do is I reverse engineer the already build binary code.
I tried 1 day to look for the other HUD and so far haven't find anything worth of mentioning. At the moment I am pretty busy with other stuff, its still on my radar but when I cannot say...

I haven't tried to contact the dev, but I suspect they aren't that interested in this? If you want you can give them a mail;)) or something like this and see what they say:)

I think the Widescreen Fixer fix broke with one of the last patches.
It used to work perfectly for me for a few days but now it doesn't seem to restrict the HUD to the middle screen but to middle AND right screen. It's most obvious at the loading screen
Image
but also applies to all ingame HUD elements
Image
Flawless Widescreen puts the HUD in the middle but kind of crops the upper half of the circular lifebar as seen in this screenshot
Image
For comparison this is how it looks like at 1920x1200
Image

Neither solution shows the potrait when Nilin is talking to someone

1920x1200 shot for comparison

Also, when I disable the FOV fix part of Flawless Widescreen in favor of the Ini Hack (which seems to do the trick just fine) the HUD is missing completely too.

edit: tested on a GTX670 with both 314.22 and 320.18 btw.

Updated the plugin to 1.2.0 Steam Version.

As for SweetFX, it should work with the plugin and the game I don't see why it wouldn't.

The other HUD, is not working properly, (arranging itself correctly) even for 1 monitor....so kinda hard to understand its exact behavior.

Best Regards

Wow, that was fast. I tested it and while it does center the menus again the life display doesn't show at all.

Yes that is a known thing. It is on my list to do for the future...but when I have no idea. I managed to finish the game 3 times like this, even on the hardest difficulty:)) To be honest Initially I thought the game was made like this :)) (and I opened the wheel each time to see my life) until you guys said otherwise:))

Awww, if you finished it 3 times already it sounds like you do like the game at least as much as I do. ;)
I'm doing my second playthrough (trying to get all secrets and achievements this time) and I agree it's certainly managable even on the hardest difficulty without seeing a health, focus and spammer energy bar. The screen artifacts give a clue about low health anyway. Still I think it would be nice if everything was in place.

Anyway, I'm content knowing that you know what the issues are and I'll leave it up to you to decide when and wether it's worthwhile to fix.

Thanks for your work on the patch.

I actually managed to get triple monitors working with Eyefinity without any patch. However there is an issue with the aspect ratio i think.

My resolution is 5760x1200 and although it works across all 3 monitors it appears there is a zoom in or the height is stretched. I cannot see other menu items to change screen resolution once in the settings so its a nightmare.

I would like to know the settings for the ini file that i can edit as i would like to have a play around with this myself as i think i am going to get incompatibility with a lot of games and if i have learned how to edit files myself i can then apply my knowledge to other games i come across in the future.

Can you post some ideas on some settings to try and a brief rundown what it will achieve.

For example this file:

[Engine.LocalPlayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

The Y ratio relates to the vertical which is what i am having issues with. Because my monitor is 16:10 does this create extra problems in Eyefinity?

Any advice is truly appreciated. I believe once i get my head round this a little more i will be able to tweak my ini files in my games personally.

This is exactly the sort of thing I came here for, thanks for your time and effort on creating the fix, helifax!
