One of the main games I play is Planetside 2, I just tested it on my 50 inch SonyW800B LED TV with a custom resolution of 2560x1080 and I usually get 70-90fps in a big battle that involves 48-96+ vs 48-96+. I wanna buy the Z35 Ultra Wide monitor, would it be okay if my FPS is lower than the refresh rate? I get 70-90 fps in a big battle at 2560x1080, I get about 95-120fps in a big battle at 1920x1080 but I doubt the monitor has some automatic scaling mechanism so if I played on 1080p then I will probably have 2 side black bars. If if you have a Nvidia GPU and Gsync Monitor that is totally OK. |

The whole idea of variable refresh rate technology is that the impact of fps drops and fps increase isn't as noticeable as compared to a monitor that has a fixed refresh. Also no tearing and no lag that's is normally caused by v-sync. Anyway, I am happy to answer any further questions you have, since I own a Z35 myself. |
