I've been here for a while using the website for research when buying screens and checking information relating to game compability to widescreen gaming etc, but I haven't seen a section or any good place for ultra-widescreens.

It's a newer standard and for example, in AC4 you can run three monitors for a stunning surround experience, but if you have a single 21:9 monitor you're outta luck and get sidebars.

Now it's fixed by Flawless Widescreen as Hayden is a champ, but since ultra-wide monitors are on the rise, I'd like to propose either a seperate section or a sub-section in the Multi-monitor section to address these screens and issues.

I haven't found anything from searching(Maybe I suck at searching) regarding 21:9 screens or a seperate section where that stuff is collected.

Please don't mind that this user account is new, I'm an avid browser and after I've gone up to 2560x1080 type screens I've only been using the site more and more, promoting me to write this post.

So in the light of 21:9 perhaps there's something that can be done here.

Hi, :welcome
We have started to focus more on 21:9 and 4k by adding support to our detailed game reports and grading system, I think we could find some place for these 2 new sections in our forums, let me speak with the boss man and see where is best. :)

I support this, I can;t afford to go to 3 screen again, the GPU and screen requirements are to expensive. However I can replace my 1440p monitor for a new 21:9 and get 'poor mans' surround - which also has the bonus of a lesser GPU requirement than my current screen so my cards last longer!

And I double-second that proposal !
I first thought any game working in Eyefinity/Surround would work in 21:9 just as well, but Ubisoft games have indeed proved me wrong. 21:9 is a specific aspect with specific issues, and could really use a proper sub-forum.

Yeah if I get one, I am still undecided, I can go through and add some images to some of the DRs that are missing those.

I am down for this as well. Finding 21:9 info can be a challenge, though I am glad to see many of the DRs have been updated as 21:9 gains more traction.

Also, just a heads up Mach1.9pants, there is apparently a 3440x1440 LG panel that should be making it into displays sometime soon hopefully. Just in case 2560x1080 is not ideal for you.

I think this is a great idea. I've taken a first pass at adding them, and splitting the "Gaming" category into two separate sections. That section was getting kind of big.

We may tweak some of the arrangement or descriptions, but we've got a place for these discussions now.

I really like my 21:9. Dell just released their 24" and 32" UHD panels. I'm *REALLY* jonesing for one of those. But, they say they will have a sub-$1000 28" UHD panel out in early 2014. CES maybe? I'm guessing at that price it won't be in the UltraSharp line. 24" seems small for the 4k res, but the 32" panel is $3500. Anyone want to donate? ;)

This is great!

Games today still have unsolved issues and developers who think everyone has 16:9 screens, so it's pretty great that this is now considered a proper category in more places!

I can't wait to post more horrible updates about Ubisoft and their plans for ultra-widescreen gaming..

Watch_Dogs might be interesting to look at. Hopefully, it supports 21:9. I mean it should. It's supposed to be "next gen".
