When the game is purchased, you can add the cd key to Steam.

Only the Multiplayer key activates on Steam and it activates as the "3P" edition. Its not clear what that actually means, downloading via Steam now.

agree its the multiplayer key that registers, but once it's in steam it seems like the full game not just multiplayer

What do you mean purchased you said the game is free ????
All I can see on the link you provided is "up to 75% off selected men of war titles"

By purchased I meant once you have the game. I couldn't think of another way of writing it. The game was free though.

I've just checked and it looks like the game isn't even on the site at all now.
