Hi guys
I wanted to ask if i would get better fps if i set
cod 4 resolution 800x600 and My screen resolution 1024x768
When i use 1024x768 It looks wider.
but when i use 1280x720 it fits good in screen but is not as wide and clear as 1024x768
i feel cod 4 800X600 with screen resolution 1024X768 have better fps.
but i wanted to know if its true. and why can i use diffrent resolutions ?

I have a nec widescreen with max 1920x1080 resolution.

Are you that short of power you cant run at 1920x1080 ?

1. The res of your windows desktop should have no effect on fps
2. Open the in game console and type cg_drawFPS 1 you can then test yourself
3. wouldn't it be better to turn off shadows, aa, af and lower details ect rather than reduce resolution
