I like warhammer, I've played and own bloodbowl, however this game is very complicated with a piss poor tutorial system. So you're pretty much left finding your own way around.

Repetitive cut scenes everytime you score can't be skipped, and the pause button seems to work only for 15 minutes at a time, then the game resumes...

Two games I've bought recently have just been terrible. What's going on?!?!>!!!?!?!@!#@$%$%@^#$?$%^#$%?>^@$#%?>!

anyone else play this?

I wanted this. Then I saw it had online activation and put it back on the shelf. I might get it when it's a tenner or less, like I did Mass Effect. Although if your review is that glowing, I probably won't bother at all.

I remeber going to a Games Workshop years ago now with the intent to buy Blood Bowl... turned out they were having a Grand Opening, so instead for the price of Blood Bowl I picked up Warhammer 40k, Gorkamorka and Warhammer Quest. 8)

wow, Gorka Morka, I still play that at my local GW on occasion. Loved it so much more than Nercomunda.

Yeah so far is seems that if you play it turned based, it's impossible to win on easy. However if you play it real time, you end up winning 40 nil.

Playing this game turned based is a peice of pess! Might take a few gamer to get used to it, but hey, what sports games doesn't?

As far as the online activation goes, it is very liberal indeed.

I am playing my mates bought copy that he activated and no longer wanted, ie a hand me down that works FINE from my PC (online and offline) which is not the PC he activated it from. The developers left it to the gamers to be honest and did not push any installatoin limitations.

No qualms from me.

I did play the table top a fair bit, so I have the feel for the game, might be a steeper learning curve for non familiar players.

The demo of Chaos League (the unofficial kind of prequel to Blood Bowl) was beautiful. And huge. I mean I felt lost in it. The game looked funny but so complex - a bit messy actually. Turn-based action was even more confusing than real-time. The zounds-chapter-long tutorial was scary. So I ended up squishing the bugs crawling across the main menu - nice featurette but it wasn't quite enough to wash away the frustration...

I don't think I will play another Blood Bowl-like anytime soon.

It is FFFFFAAAAAAARRRRRR easier than Choas League. More graphical indicators to know who had done what, and how far they have left to move/block/etc.

It just like chess but all your possible moves, probailities, strenghts etc are graphically displayed when selecting each peice.

I think this game was more designed towards people who played the blood bowl table top. It is identical really. So not playing that might incur some difficulties without knowing the rules.

Good to know. I like fantasy and strategy too much to willingly steer clear of a game like BB. Alas, no demo...
