Amazing demo, and it runs very well on my 8800GTS. I saw no hitching or low framerates at all with everything on max settings except shadows, 4xAA and 16xAF. NICE.

The game runs in some funky resolutions... I used 1600x800-something and it looked really nice. There was no 1680x1050 which is my normal gaming setting. In the 16x8 mode it had black bars at the top and bottom to keep the appropriate aspect ration. As I said... weird.

I am not a 360 gamer myself but I have played the 360 game with my roommate and I have to say the PC version is a slight bit ahead. The DX10 effects seem to be better looking snow effects and explosions and such... they look pretty awesome.

All around a strong demo for a strong title... my only gripe is the weird resolutions and the fact the on-screen control guides use 360 button graphics (maybe fixed for retail?).

SCHAWEET! Was just going to post this :D

Runs GREAT. Looks GORGEOUS.

I played this demo on a 360 (at a retail kiosk), and it doesn't look at all shabby compared to the PC version. Look downright exactly the same, if the PC version doesn't look a bit better.

And for 360 Wireless Receiver users: I have good news, and i have GREAT news.

Good news: THIS SUPPORTS 360 CONTROLLERS NATIVELY! No configuring, nothing! Just turn on and GO. There's even a config menu for the 360 controller. 8)

Great news: So i'm playing the demo, and suddenly i feel something in my hands. That's right. This demo incorporates WIRELESS VIBRATION   . So either MS was lying to us saying the gaming receiver doesn't support vibration when it actually does, or they were too lazy to create a generic protocol for it. WHATEVER the case, it works, so i'm happy :D :D :D

However, i do have some very bad news :(

This demo, spontaneously caused my computer to randomly restart. I have no idea why. Temperature's were good. No hanging, no crash, nothing. Just instant restart.

Happened both times i tried the demo, at two different points, different graphical settings both times.

Hm :?

Stinging Velvet....your name Nico?

PC version looks ALOT better. 8)Shoot me :(

Guess what! Tried it a third time.

2 minutes into the first mission. Freezes for about 3 seconds, about to exit out, and then restarts. Upon restarting i get the "The system has recovered from a serious error" popup.

Damn demo :(

Run Memtest86, i had random crashing on certain games when i had some memory problems. Its worth a shot at least, you can rule the memory out if no errors come up.

I can't wait to try out the demo after work. I have the 360 version and it is a damn fine looking game. I just installed Vista Ultimate, so I can check out the DX10 version. Curious as to how it looks/runs compared to the 360.

Very good. Did you find out how to get 1680x1050 working? So far I am playing on 8800GTS 320MB at 1280x800 on medium to high (mostly on high) settings with 4xAA and 4xAF at about 30-50fps everywhere.

Also i wonder what about those Gf8800 special antialising modes, what kind of impact do they have on the performance compared to AA?
