Why would you even try to kill the old man? Your main purpose there is to sneak in and get the saddle for the horse. You so much as alert him and the game makes you restart that segment, unless you have a save you can use where you attempted the sneak. Just grab the pistol and ammo that are on the table at the front of the house on the second story while you're in there getting the saddle. Then sneak to the barn, ride off to the Indiana Jones whip ledge, approach the indian camp crouched, and hide in the bushes behind the big tree that's near the chest.
From there you can easily pop two of the indians when one walks over by the other (headshots), then quickly go to the big rock to the right of the tree for cover and take out the third from there. It's really pretty simple even on Hard. Make sure you zoom your aim when you go for headshots. I've been telling my friends about this game, they've never heard of western shooter video games. I hope more in this genre are made with even more attention to variety in gameplay.
I thought the whole idea of that section of the game was to sneak, so I snuck into the farmers house, got the saddle and FRIGGIN HIGH TAILED MY THEIVING ASS OUTA THERE!
Didn't realise I could have gotten a pistol...and slaughtered innocent indians.
(I like where I am going with this, so I am gonna continue. Do you mind? No? Good.)
I managed to sneak past all the indians too, until I stole one of thier horses and rode like lighting past all of em. See, I don't need to kill no indian. I therefore rule supreme. Zero kills, zero deaths. I am truly the evolved gamer.
You sire are a murderer! Should be ashamed! I think video games are going to your head...no wonder there are so many school shootings.
There is too much violence in games these days. I don't understand why FPS's can't stand for First Person Serenity
