Apparently the displays made by Apple are better, and that is the ONLY argument I have heard from anybody in graphic design about why Mac's are better for it.

Actually, Apple's monitors use panels manufactured by LG Phillips. And I'm pretty sure that NEC is the de facto brand of choice for professional graphics design.

That really doesn't surprise me, the Apple displays that I have seen in person were very nice, but not jaw droopingly amazing.

Yeah they do not make there own panels, NEC & Eizo are the two I know of that are "professional choice"
