Mini Motor Racing is a 3D arcade racing game. It consists of circuit races, spanning multiple laps, against multiple opponents. It offers three large championships unlocked gradually, split up into different cups with multiple tracks for each. Races are set in different environments with weather effects and set during night or day. A number of tracks are based on the Fruit Ninja franchise by a fellow Austrian developer. Through winning races, new cars and tracks are unlocked and cash is earned. Cash is used to upgrade the vehicles for four categories: handling, nitro, acceleration and top speed, with multiple upgrade levels for each. While racing nitro can be used to gain additional speed. The tracks often contain pick-ups such as additional nitro boosts or additional cash. Next to the championship mode there is a quick race mode and online multiplayer.
The Windows version is tweaked with new visuals, updated physics and additional content. Through its integration with Steam it offers an editor to create and share levels through the Workshop. It also has a number of exclusive levels and cars based on Portal 2 and Team Fortress 2.
