A Ferrari-centric, mission-based arcade-sim from the makers of NFS Shift.
TD:FRL's career mode is split in three "campaigns", each featuring cars and tracks from a certain era: 1947-1973, 1974-1990 and 1990-2011. The goal here is not to drive through series of races from start to finish, but to accomplish set objectives: you may start mid-race and have to finish in the top 3 or overtake every opponent in two laps top. Completing the main objective unlocks the next challenge and so forth.
The game also features quick-race against a ghost or up to 16 AI opponents. Multiplayer is handled through match-making.
Authenticity and historical appeal are sadly not taken very far, but besides the usual pro-circuit favorites there are some rarely-seen-in-videogames vintage tracks to unlock. And hey, 52 Ferrari models in any of 33 (!) colors.
