1280x1024 to 1280x768 isn't really a smooth hor + transition, so I'm going to have to ask for a true 16:10 / 4:3 comparison before we can evaluate this accurately. Any takers who want to post a two-way (or better yet three-way) comparison? |

Its the same as Lego Star Wars II, where it's a mix; mostly hor+, but a little vert-. It was still certified (by you Cranky) as hor+. Unsurprising since it should be the same engine. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Lego_Star_Wars_II:_The_Original_Trilogy |

We still need screenshots to prove it. We can't certify a game on faith that it works the same as a predecessor that was also certified. |

We can't certify a game on faith that it works the same as a predecessor that was also certified. How are you going to certify a demo for an unreleased game? |

We're not. What we can do it call it *potentially* certified, but not until 4:3->16:10 screenshots are taken. |

I thought you were saying it wasn't hor+ because some of the vertical space is visibly cutoff in those shots. I totally wasn't paying attention missed that your concern is that the "baseline" was a 5:4 ratio resolution instead of a 4:3 resolution (and 1280x768 isn't 16:10 of course) |

1024x768 - 4:3
1280x800 - 16:10
1280x720 - 16:9
Looks like this one will be Certified, when released. |

1024x800 - 16:10 Do you mean 1280x800? And is the "1024x720" supposed to be 1280x720? Anyway, 4:3 on 16:10 looks like this:
Just barely hor +. Intro video/trailer stretches (it's a 1280x720 bink movie), I didn't bother taking screenshots. When the full version comes out, we'll need to check to see if this is still a problem. |
