![]() Widescreen Grade: A Ultra-Widescreen Grade: Incomplete Multi-monitor Grade: B 4k Grade: Incomplete Read Full Detailed Report - Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends is a real-time strategy game for the PC made by Big Huge Games, and published by Microsoft. It is a spin off of the popular game Rise of Nations, released in May 2003. However, rather than being a historical game, it is based in a fantasy world, where technology and magic coexist. It was released on May 9, 2006 in North America and on various dates around May 26, 2006 in the rest of the world. Rise of Legends retains most of the features from Rise of Nations, like city building, borders, attrition, assimilations, non-depletable resources and the Conquer The World (CTW) campaigns. However, Rise of Legends also introduces new features of its own, such as city districts, heroes, dominances, a more simplified economy (with only two resources) and neutral, siegeable units and buildings. The reality-based resource wood has been replaced by Timonium. Unlike its predecessor, which offered the player 18 civilizations to choose from, Rise of Legends has only three races. These are the technological Vinci, the magical Alin, and the alien-like Cuotl, who replace the Wealth resource with Energy, offering a new gather strategy. Each race is completely distinct from the others, allowing for different gameplay depending on the player's choice. It also makes use of the AGEIA PhysX physics engine. ![]() 4:3 ![]() 16:10 ![]() 16:9 ![]() 3x1 |

A couple of things: Supported Resolutions & Aspect Ratios Please list the following resolutions as "untested" (unless any of them are tested and don't work - if so, list them as "unsupported). 1280x720, 1280x768. 1280x800, 1440x900, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200 Also, when you listed 1600*1200 (16:9), did you mean to list 1600*900, (16:9) ? Singleplayer anomalies You didn't include this section. Please do so, even if it's just to say you didn't find any in the demo. And if that's the case, be sure to mention that this is just a demo, and the full version may still have some anomalies. HUD stretch Even though you can tell from the screenshots that the HUD does not stretch, you should still put this section in your report. Cut-scenes Does the demo have any cut-scenes? Are they FMV, rendered ingame, or does it have both? If it has cut-scenes, comparison screenshots are needed. If there are no cut-scenes, you need to put in this section and mention that the demo has no cut-scenes, but the full version might. Grading The grade is not subjective - I have created a rubrick that calculates the grade. I have taken the liberty of calculating it for you. Feel free to copy and paste the following into your report: Calculated grade: B- Potential grade: Certified Major unresolved issues: Are the following resolutions supported? 1280x720, 1280x768. 1280x800, 1440x900, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200 Does the full game have any singleplayer anomalies? How does the game handle cut-scenes? Minor unresolved issues: None. |

I made a couple of updates, including screenshots of other bits of the interface (or HUD, as you call it), as well as confirmation that everything works fine in LAN multiplayer games. No anomalies found so far, except an extremely minor one: the background picture in the main menus gets streched (hardly noticable though). |

With this information, the "calculated grade" gets upgraded to a B. In order to get a grade of certified, two things must be confirmed: 1: The game must support 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x800, 1440x900, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200 . 2: The full version (not the demo) must be confirmed to be anomaly-free. |

Updated again for the retail version. Singleplayer is anomaly-free, and Internet games do support widescreen resolutions correctly. Anyone wanna test the game for 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x800, 1440x900, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200? My monitor doesn't support that stuff, so I can't do that unfortunately... |

The calculated grade is now a B+. The untested resolutions are the only thing preventing this from being Certified. |

I can confirm support for 1920x1080, works fine on my Westy LVM37. I can also confirm that it's anomaly free on MY machine, playing both at 16:9 on my Westinghouse @ 1920x1080, and 16:10 on my Dell 2005FPW @ 1680x1050. |
