in order to make the resolution widescreen go to c:Documents and Settings

there go to the administrator name.
then My DocumentsSpellForce2

there you will find the file config.xml. edit that file with wordpad and change the resolution numbers into your liking.

save, close and voila, better image ingame.

Method: Config file editing to set custom resolution and console command to fix FOV.

1. Go to My DocumentsSpellForce2 folder, open config.xml using any text editor, find the following strings:

and set them to whatever you want. For example:


2. Start a game, then bring the console by pressing Ctrl + ] and type:


UI:SetCameraFOV(0.94) for 16:10

UI:SetCameraFOV(1.027) for 16:9


This will make the game Hor+, however, the cutscenes will remain Ver-
