Not to mention that anything extra directly benefits the site. Hosting ect.

the shame of you to use Racer_S rightfully earned stripper money to pay for hosting :P

I say get him the stripper.

let's ask him. do he want:
3x22" LCD + not so hot stripper or
3x19" LCD + hot stripper.

Unless we can all be there to watch, no strippers. Besides, the memory of a stripper fades in a short time. The image of 5MP in full 60" Wide Surround glory lasts forever.

I will say that I have about $860 invested in these monitors (ASUS replaced three 19s with these 22s). You start with $1000 goal and take about 5% out for PayPal (conservative estimate), and then about $75 out for shipping all four pieces FedEx or UPS Ground, and that puts us at $875 left to cover the cost of the monitors. So, unless we don't hit the $1000 mark, then I will be making my own sizable contribution as well.

I don't really want to do it but if this thing stalls, let me know. I'll do what I can to complete the deal.

2/3 of the way there in only a couple days is mighty promising. I wouldn't worry.

is the demographics here. people that can afford Th2G and triple monitors are somewhat well off (or at least can afford to donate).

besides if you can slap down $1000+ down for your own th2g setup a $10 or $20 dollar contribution is not that bad.

and the way I see it is for being able to run games at th2g bugfree is well worth $20.

Did you mean to quote PapaLes's post? I'm missing the connection to my previous post.

considering that many people drop 400-600 on a video card they upgrade every year or so, 1000 on a monitor setup to last years isn't that far off. there was a recent time that a 24" cost that, and a 30" still costs 1000-1250 or so.

I don't know what you are all asking. I just want to see it done. Chatter is fine but let's do it. we need people that can give us widescreen/surround gaming. geniv2, this has nothing to do with being well off. It is just something that I feel is important. I am not well off. not at all. I did come into a few bucks and I felt that this is a priority that suited my desires. It's not going to save the world but it will make gaming a better place to be.

I understand what he meant now. It's only been a couple days and the task is nearly done. But not so much because we can afford it, more like it is an ivestment in our future gaming.
