Dood, an h264 encode for the station will take about an hour per episode, for 1 pass. This is serious time investment here... Just to increase quality and compatibility.

Oh btw, we need anyone with some sort of video editor and a little bit of talent to make us some commercials for WSGF to throw on the station.

Any other player recommendations besides Winamp (which I don't like)? VLC just gets audio.

Thanks.

Nice avatar, Cynagen :)

Were you thinking of CUDA?

Or this?

nVidia's GPU accelerated encoder is CUDA based, and isn't actually made by nVidia, IIRC. It's made by someone else. And costs money. I forget the details.

ATi, on the other hand, used to have a AVIVO video encoder that ran on the GPU for the X1800/X1900 series. I don't know whether it supports the 3xx0 and 4xx0 series cards. It was way faster than my dual core Opteron at encoding, but my Q6600 probably about matches it, impressively.

aw man...now you're just tempting me and my new HD camera!

I can't take this on right now, though. I've already got too many projects lined up for the wiki.

Anyone know where I can clone myself? :P

I have no video camera, but you can consider my interest piqued.

Maybe if you had a Mac...

Maybe there is something similar for PC.

I need some help picking out new anime for the TV station, the stuff I dug up/picked had a bad sampling with some of my anime buddies...

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime-list.php?alttitles=1&showdate=1&limit_to=&showT=1&showM=1&showS=1&licensed=0&sort=date&invertsort=1

That's a list of unlicensed anime, sorted by date, descending. Can anyone look through there and pick out a few that are good that they've heard of? Or just browse through and find some good ones?

I'm looking at the following as a good possibility:
Soul Eater
Lovely Complex
Naruto Movie "Hurricane Chronicles"
Bleach Movie "The DiamondDust Rebellion"

You've actually found a copy of Diamond Dust Rebellion that wasn't a troll/fakesub? :(

Is Lovely Complex good? Not seen it.
