Post subject:  G'day from the Gold Coast

Hi all,

Thought I would do the right thing and introduce myself.

I'm an avid online racer, in simulations such as RFactor and Race07/GTR Evolution, and an the founder and Admin of Online Racing Australia.

I was a professional IT techie for almost 13 years before tiring of the red tape and over complicated procedures, so quit the industry, and went back to security (what I did prior to IT). I'm nearing 50 years old, been married for 27 years, have 3 grown kids, and moved to the Gold Coast, in 2007, for a lifestyle change after 33 years in Canberra.

I spent 30 years modifying cars, with more than 20 of that as an official at the annual Summernats car festival (as well as organiser and promoter of other car shows along the way).

I've also been a St.George [Illawarra] fan since I was about 5 years old, so I'm on a high in that respect, at the moment.

Recently I got an idea in my head to run triple screens, though on a pretty tight budget. i came looking for advice and info on what works and what doesn't, in regard to quality and framerates, and read through the recently created fAQ. Now, I hate to give a bad impression, as a pedantic bugger, first time out, but was wondering about the following Q&A, in the nVidia section:

"Can I use different monitor sizes?

Yes. However, each monitor in an Eyefinity group must display the same resolution - and they will default to the lowest common denominator. Two displays at 1680x1050 and one display at 1920x1200 will all display a 1680x1050 image - stretching that image across the 1920x1200 display. If you utilize different aspect rations (i.e., 2x 1920x1080 and 1x 1920x1200), the image on the "odd display" will either be letterboxed or stretched. "
