Display fusion is for desktop stuff, wont create a spanned monitor as far as i know.
Im no expert at all, but softTH might do it for you. IIRC its limited to DX10 ?
Its been a long time since i read up on this, but I would have a look at SoftTH

So there shouldn't be any driver issues etc, ive heard of people getting stuck at 6 monitors, with any more not being recognized. Im on the verge of just going for the simpler option and throwing in 2x NVS510 into an old PC.
