I've tried the Max_Payne_3_21x9_FIX.EXE (from the first link) today on the current Steam version of the game (1.0.0.196) and the fix works. To apply it though you have to do one extra step after running the patch. Working procedure:

Hi another first poster here. I'm running the game in surround mode in (bezel compensated) 6048*1200. Everything seems fine so far, except for one issue.
