Re: Maybe Changing from AMD to Nvidia But Have Reservations

I use the Windows+P shortcut to switch between spanned and extented display modes on W7. I don't know about AMD's method but this isn't hard at all.

I do this too with my AMD card. But you could use catalyst profiles and assign them to a shortcut as well.

But idk what to believe anymore what ...

Re: Finding a new term for multiple FOVs

I hear you guys. It does seem like learning to run before learning walk. We are still far from universally supporting multiple monitors with a single FOV, let alone many.

However, my point is that we can make it much easier if we could at least agree to a terminology. As of today just googling it ...

Re: Finding a new term for multiple FOVs

The article is totally right, but hey, I'm already happy when a game support an FOV larger than 90 with a hack or something in order to play the damn game on multi monitors. Incredibly happy if it's fully supported by having the HUD still centered. That is so rare already nowadays, that I could ...

If one does not see my points as meeting your [ or indeed wikipedia's ] requirements for discussion that's not my concern.

Any discussion on piracy becomes personal since if it is discussed with honesty it touches ethics.
It is personal when you deny someone their rights, the fruits of their ...

Cygnus, it is a shame it has to come to this. I opened this topic for discussion. What you do is not discussing. Please refrain from using argumenta ad hominem and read an argument and try to reply to that, rather than replying in a way it is not applicable to the current statement.

Re: Hd7970m and matrox SE

What is exactly wrong? One of the monitors stay blank? There is no resolution option for 5760x1080? Stuttering, flickering, anything catching on fire?

(But even if you manage to get it working, I hope you don't expect to game decently on a 5760x1080 with a measly mobile GPU. It would only be usable ...

My apologies in advance if this question has been asked already somewhere. I've been searching on these forums with no luck so I thought I'd throw up a flag and see if anyone can help.

I'm trying to get my Steam installation of Skyrim (updated version) working at 5760 x 1200 - I am currently ...

Re: Requesting Help

While you are at it messing with cables anyway, why not run an additional HDMI cable directly from the PC to the TV? Put your desktop in mirrored mode. Now you can enjoy PC games on your monitor and your TV at the same time as well, only costing you an additional €2,50 or your regional equivalent ...

Isn't this one of those famous NV surround quirks where all displays don't have the same sync rate and such? He is using nvidia's and different monitors. Don't know enough about that myself as I use ATI, but it might be something you want to look after in your quest in solving this problem.

What ...

Re: Requesting Help

The proposed solution by Delphium still requires you to switch cables for the use of your PC and Xbox. You also need a switch box like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Goobay-Out-Manual-DVI-Switch/dp/B000OGYFSI

Here is an incredibly artsy ms paint drawing of the contraption:

Re: DisplayFusion now officially supports Surround/Eyefinity

I started out with displayfusion when using multimonitors, but I went to Ultramon instead. Less problems, and it gives a more native feel to the extended taskbar than displayfusion.

Also, this feature means it needs to disable the division of virtual monitors when launching a game in order to work ...

Re: Piracy and cracked releases

I'd like to raise the notion that (intrusive) DRM is not caused by piracy, it is caused by the short sightedness of the implementer (may it be the publisher or the dev).
DRM is not witholding a SINGLE pirated copy, and it annoys legitimite buyers. The method of combatting piracy is to offer a better ...

However, I would like to get games to run that physical arrangement but spanned more the way it would naturally span in a 3x2 landscape arrangement but essentially foregoing the upper two peripheral displays. In such an arrangement the lower 3 would act much as it would in 3x1 landscape, but the ...
