Thank you :) I read those things too, but I think some of the issues might have just been with the early versions of the screen. Hopefully it's better now!
My alternative choices are the Dell U2711 A09 and the HP ZR2740. But with the Dell I heard it has some input lag and an ugly grainy AG ...
