Just an update - Hayden's 0.3 and up work fine now on 64 bit Windows 7. My guess is that Win7 32 bit isn't compatible with Hayden's 0.3+ app. Same hardware, same drivers (except 64 bit versions) and minimal Win7 x64 install as my Win7 32 bit setup.

ya, already too late. can someone post the old .exe if not it looks like its time to go download a cracked exe. :( although if i have the retail cd's can i pull the .exe off them?

Run msconfig and shut down all non-Microsoft system services, reboot, make sure the services are still off, then try the game.

I dont think the fix has anything to do with your crash ...

Since Hayden's 0.3, I'm experiencing the same immediate crash to desktop as I have with Helifax's most recent solution when starting the game. Hayden's 0.1 works fine.

Running 3840x1024. (3x1). Tried 3072x768 - same issue. Tried setting the resolution manually - no dice. Running ...

i alt-tab out of game, and run the NEW center hud V2 mod (i run at 5040 x 1050 so its modified)
