Skyrim is woefully CPU bound, so unless you have an i7, crossfire doesnt help that much in the "problem areas" (cities). I have a theory on the CTD. I have had very rare CTD, only 3 in 80 hours of play. But my video card(s) are 6850s with only 1GB vram. Is it possible that the exectutable image is larger for cards using more vram? And if so, is it possible to limit the vram used by the cards?

Reinstalling 12.1 is not a problem. Its trying to install an older driver afterwards that is creating the issue.

I followed the normal procedure for my uninstall.

1) Uninstall CCC/Install manager from Control Panel.
2) Reboot
3) Driver Sweeper
4) Reboot
5) Install new
