well for some reason this morning it started ...

So this should hopefully put a smile on the faces of some of the older games on the forum, stumbled across a 'new' patch for system shock 2 and thief 2 (well new to me anyhow) fixes all the things that had to be hacked to make it even run in widescreen or on windows 7 in a nice simple zip extract ...

same here with my Dell U2410's. When I got them I had 1 different from the other 2, had the vendor swap it out a few times before I realised every screen seemed to be slightly different from the last, I'd just been lucky with the other 2 matching from the off.

Wow they finally fixed the "not being able to maximize windows to a single screen while running surround" bug and the "taskbar spans all three displays in surround" bug too?

I wonder if that's just the new drivers, or you need the new drivers + the 680 to get those fixes?

To install I downloaded the drivers, extracted then edited the following:
ListedDevices.txt add lines for your GPU, in my case
DEV.1080 "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580"
DEV.1089 "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 "
DEV.108B "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 "

NvDisp.inf update 3 sections, again adding lines for you ...

works a treat, centre only task bar, windows open to single displays etc. I've not tested games, stability etc yet.

Some interesting bits on the nvidia driver page for the new 600 drivers, including moving the taskbar to just the centre monitor and maximising windows to one monitor also. Hope this will also come to the 500 series.

Anybody else getting no main menu at all? fix either enabled or not. works fine in single screen.

EDIT: Ok, this makes no sense but if I don't enable the fix and skip the logo video by hitting escape I get a main menu ...

Fix works great for me for all in game content, still getting vert- FMV cutscenes tho. I've figured out how to workaround it but wondered if anyone else gets it or does Helifax's plugin fix sort the FMV's for everyone else.
