if your monitor has
if your monitor has displayport support you can get a mini-DP to DP connector instead. they are significantly cheaper than an active minidp to dvi connector.

The sapphire flex edition can
The sapphire flex edition can supposedly work without using one of the mini-display ports for output on the 3rd monitor in eyefinity. I am not sure how well it lives up to it's claim, but I have purchased this card and I can report back in a couple of days after I receive it.

This does work. You just have
This does work. You just have to make sure the mini-dp to DVI adapter is an active adapter. I have this exact same setup and it did not work until I got an active mini-dp to dvi adapter.

Crossfire + Eyefinity, strange results
Hi guys, I feel like I think this is the best place to post this as I feel like I am digging myself deeper and deeper into an obscure niche by going with a cross-finity setup, and normal solutions just do not seem to apply to me.

try disabling the monitor
try disabling the monitor group and recreating it. I use the exact same setup (3x1 Portrait + 1 extended monitor) and it seems to be a hit or miss each time I update drivers. My guess is there are some residual settings that are not properly cleared each time the drivers are updated.
