Well, it seems that Asus Maximus III GENE Socket 1156 allows you to play crossfire x8/x8... price 167euros here. It seems that socket1156 motherboards are out of stock in my dealershop!
May be with that mobo you could overclock your CPU.

I have been looking for different configurations (trifire was the perfect one for me, after having a look the article on hardopc web page) but just for gaming trimonitor @5760x1080.
My conclussion has been, after having a look on average FPS, that I´ll wait for the new X79 and new gen ...

Well, I was wrong. Asus P5Q Deluxe allows x8 /x8 in xfire mode. :doh
Nowadays, my rig is not "up to date" and I was goint to try replacing just the GPU, cooler and PSU parts... if it doesn´t work well (I mean, more than 40fps) I will have to think about ...
