Re: Dual-projector 3D Vision Surround from one card?
I think he managed to get it working by using an extra port on one of the PJ's to make it think there were 3 PJ's. Although I'm not exactly sure that's what this topic is about.

Re: Next Steps - (3) 46" to big screen
Hi Dennis,
Sounds cool. I'm not sure what you mean about a double curve though? I think you sound like you can handle making the screen quite well.
As for software, try Nthusim, it has a free trial. But you may also want to look at Immersaview and Warpalizer. I think they're a fair amount cheaper ...

Re: is there a demand for custom built curved screens?
Looks really nice! Where in the UK are you?
I'm not sure on price, but I would imagine that it should be somewhere in the region of £500, but that's more gut instinct than anything else.

Re: is there a demand for custom built curved screens?
Maybe it's just the way you're using the English language then, as to me that would appear to be trolling. I've seen plenty of these posts over the last few years and this looks to be a good job. I think you're just misunderstanding the fact that the pictures aren't lined up to mean that they can't ...

being metal fabricator by profession, while you did very good job im not impressed at the frames and its not that big hassle at all, to me at least, just putting things in proportions, also i'd ASSUME, and can't be sure before serious checks confirm this but this can be built for around 50 pound ...

Re: [Help] Opnion with screen for 3 projectors
Hi Cavera,
Your English seems fine to me!
Personally, I would make the screen more curved than that. That looks almost flat to me if you see what I mean. I guess it depends on what you want the screen for, is it for movies, or games, or work? That would help to work out the best sort of screen for ...

Re: Triple projector curved screen - need some expert help
3 PJ's with 3d is about the best you can get I would say. But, that comes at a cost.
2 PJ's without 3d is far cheaper, not just the PJ's but the pc can be a much lower spec to run it. Think you start to need 2 x Nvidia gfx cards in SLI when you run 3 screens in 3d, whereas you can have a mid range ...

Re: projector opinion
Take a look at ProjectorCentral's calculator (google it), that should give you a good idea about how the projectors you've looked at will fit your purpose. Think about how big an image you want and how far away you're going to put the projector. A higher resolution and contrast ratio should mean a ...

Have you created an Eyefinity group in the ATI control panel? Rather than just extending monitors?

Re: 2 x DLP Link Projectors in 3D at the same time?
i have No idea about 3d!
i was just wondering because VGA cant even Display 1920x1080@60hz
But you'Re running 1280x720 ? And that works on 120hz ? okay.
I'm sure VGA can do that, I used to do that at 2048 x 1536 @ 60Hz too!

Does it not?
I was doing 3d with the Elsa Revelator some 10-15 years ago via VGA! I don't see why it wouldn't work now. Only difference really is that I'm going for 120Hz rather than 100Hz.

Looks awesome!
I'll take a more detailed look later, but for now I quite like option 2, although maybe move the PJ's back a bit so you can get some overlap??

Re: 2 x DLP Link Projectors in 3D at the same time?
Thanks,
My problem with Nvidia is that you need 2 gfx cards in SLI or a GTX 290 or 590 or something like that?? I may well be mistaken, but that's what I thought you need. This is going to seriously add to the price!! I want to do 2 so that 1gfx card can handle it and it saves the cost of another ...

But how would I make sure they're at the same time?
And would that fix my problem of using DLP Link glasses with 2 PJ's at the same time?

2 x DLP Link Projectors in 3D at the same time?
Hi guys,
I think the answer to this is no, but can I use 2 DLP Link projectors at the same time in 3D mode? I assume the answer is no as the glasses will pick up 2 signals at the same time which will confuse them and they'll go out of sync.
So I guess it would work if I got RF glasses and an ...

I'd start with 2 or 3, you can always add more as you go on. Then you'll get some experience and see what you look and start experimenting. You'll also get an idea how powerful you'll need to make the pc to run 5 for example.

Re: 3 Projector Build
From what I've read, it's people that can see the rainbow effect, rather than the projector producing it or not. I've never seen it, but someone else with their eyes could look at the same projector and see it if you see what I mean?

Re: BenQ W1080ST coming in Q1 2013.
I would say that 3 would be better than 2. I think people are doing 2 because of the cost savings. 3 would give you a bigger screen, bigger resolution and better focus as you've got less stretching.
However, 2 would save you the cost of 1 of the PJ's, you'd also get away with 1 gfx card rather than ...

I thought that 3 screen was
I thought that 3 screen was for 3d only, ie if you want 3d then you have to use 3 screens. 2d can do two screens I think. You may want 3d though.
I'm not sure that BHawthorne got 180 degrees from 2 PJ's, you'd have to ask him. I'd imagine the image would start to get awkward at some point.
