OK, I really can't get BioShock to letterbox when I use 1600x900 on my 16:10-display, it keeps stretching it vertically.
It only letterboxes when I set my desktop-resolution to 1600x900 and then play the game.
But I use the desktop at 1680x1050, and I'm not going to switch it first every time ...

BioShock Resolution & Aspect Ratio Problem
Hello,
I have a problem with 16:9-resolutions:
So I have a 16:10-monitor, with a native-resolution of 1680x1050, but the settings of the nVidia-drivers are so
that any 16:9-resolutions aren't stretched vertically to fill the 16:10-display, but they are letterboxed instead.

You're missing the point. I'm not asking for advice about which version is superior. See, the game has completely broken FOV. Personally, I want it to be fixed ASAP, or I'll turn into Jackie Estacado.

I get as far as that page with 4 options: 'Use NVIDIA scaling', 'Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed aspect-ratio', 'Use my display's built-in scaling' and 'Do not scale'.
Then none of them have the sub-option of 'Override the scaling mode set by games and programs'.

GTA IV Refuses Letterboxing In 16:9
Hello,
so a couple of months ago I played GTA IV at 1600x900 in 16:9 being letterboxed on my 16:10-display.
It was all great, performed well, I could even record video with it and it looked great in 16:9.
Now, however, when I set it at the same settings again, both the 3D-image and HUD ...

What do you mean exactly by "Xbox 360 PC games"?
Like a game on Xbox 360 that's also on the PC?
Try Kinect. :P
No, I don't know, maybe "Mad Catz" or some brand like that has a controller like that.

16:10 is the wrong name?
Hello,
I didn't know exactly where to put this, so it can be moved as needed of course.
But there was something that has been annoying me for the last couple of years or so:
So you have the common and pretty much standard 16:9 aspect ratios, 1920x1080, etc.

Hello,
I just installed this game and played it for a bit.
But I immediately noticed the stretching of certain elements when using the 16:10 1680x1050 resolution.
Which is my monitor's native resolution and thus aspect ratio by the way.
While I'm glad the 3D-graphics aren't stretched, I ...
