Hi , I too suffer from the same issue, after a lot of hunting it appears to be an issue with the DP cable itself. Apparently allot of DP cables have the 20th pin connected ( 20th pin is for power) this is not recommended by the DP specifications as it causes these faults , really the only answer is ...
