I've got an Acer 23" touch screen connected to a HD5870 E6 and it's never failed me. I use 12.10 driver.

Sounds like you should be looking into a digital sign player solution.
check out the brand ROKU, and there brightsign series. it's all inter-connectable, and scalable, it will suit your needs, and will work without problems.

hey Timdas, if your looking to display one long extended video, you should look into this software : http://resolume.com/ It will allow you to que up multiple video's, trigger them and manipulate them in real time. (the forums are full of helpful people)

there is a very good possibility that by using the VGA cable you are limiting your final screen resolution. If you can try and switch it to the DVI, give it a try.

Just get a card with
Just get a card with Eyefinity 6 and your good to go. as for projectors, If your looking to get full HD machines then you'll need to be concerned about throw distance, if you are OK with XGA, then, look into some of the short throw machines.

thanks for all the info duniek, and Keroppi. Like I said I'm interested in doing some similar stuff, but with all XGA projectors, so analogue Matrox cards work just fine for me. I doubt I'll have any issues after reading this thread.
