edit: found a solution: changing the configs file is enough, because it edits the gfxengine.dll anyways... now what did the trick is setting screen mode to "4", because mode 1-3 seems to override your custom width (1440) and height(900) settings...

I have a problem, that whatever I do (edit with the hex-editor and/or edit the GameSettings.cfg) I cannot change the resolution AT ALL! The resolution stays the same. The resolution settings are of course grayed out in the game.
