I think there is no question the 580's is the route to go, you might get more frames on some games with the triple 470's, but you also would have a lot fewer headaches, over at the Nvidia surround 3d forums a lot of people say the 3rd card in SLI offers no benefit to the vast majority of games ...

This looks somewhat intriguing for the price, I'm fairly certain with a little custom-engineering (judging by the pics) I could add pivots to both side arms. May have to pick one of these up just to see......

Hi all, I finally got my third Acer gd235 monitor and have been trying out various games to see how well they run. Naturally, I've encountered some problems - more than I expected but probably no more than is normal!

Running: Win 7 64, i7 960, 6gbs ram, 2xgtx 480's SLI, nvidia 3d surround ...

So...2 of my new Acer GD235 monitors have arrived, the 3rd should be here by Monday. Man! I underestimated how much desk space this is going to take - I'm going to have to customize my 7 year old trusty 'compact' desk to fit them all properly! :D I'll post a picture of my new setup when its done ...
