Re: 5970 active dp to dvi issues
Hey man, im using 5970 with apple's minidp - dvi adapter, works like a charm until now
Except for one problem, which seems to be caused by the card though.
I cannot run a game in 1920x1080, the game flickers badly.
This is not the adapters fault though, or so it seems.

Re: flickering only at 1920x1080
Well, according to flux, crossfire seems to be the problem.
I made a DVI screen the main monitor, but when i started the game, it started on the DP monitor (i didnt bother moving the screens around, didnt quite see what it would do)
Havent tried disconnecting the DP monitor though.
P.S. 10 ...

Re: flickering only at 1920x1080
So crossfire is the problem?
I will check this as soon as i come home, + i will check if the new drivers fix it!
If it turns out to be Crossfire, i guess we'l have to check if ATI knows of the problem :)
BTW, are you 2 running W7?

Re: flickering only at 1920x1080
Hmmmm, so it probably aint the adapters fault then.
Could it be insufficient power for the monitor?
Maybe driver problems? Do u have the ability to try out 9.12 + hotfixes? I'm at school right now, so i dont have the opportunity.
Edit: Could also be a crossfire problem?
Edit 2: nvm above ...

Re: flickering only at 1920x1080
Okey, are you using adapters?
if so, what adapter? are you plugging it into the wall?
it would be nice to figure this out and give Ati a hand.
Or eventually figure out whats going on.
On the workaround part, i'd guess making hotkeys that disables every screen except a DVI one would work.

flickering only at 1920x1080
now this is weird, i installed mass effect 2, cba to wait for the eyefinity fix anymore. but i knew i couldnt play it at 5760x1080, so i set resolution to 1920x1080 and it flickers all the time, seems like it is playing at 2 resolutions at once. so i lowered the res to 1600x900 and bam, no more ...
