I sit about 30-35" away from middle monitor and love playing FPS games in eyefinity.. I had to mod my desk "ghetto style" to get everything comfortable though.

Back when I was using 2 5870's I got tearing with V-sync on or off.. I personally dont know how you can game with V-sync off because the tearing drives me nuts. I got tearing and a stuttering effect.. very sh*tty feel.. drove me to the brink so I just sold a 5870 and I dont get any tearing with 1 ...

Man that really sucks, I was about to buy a 6970 because like a lot of people here I purchased 2 5870's last year but my experience with eyefinity and crossfire was so bad I sold 1 5870.. After that experience I will never crossfire and use multi monitors ever again.

with the new 10.12 CCC.. I cant change any of my presets.. none of my hotkeys are working. The only pre set that works is my single lcd preset.. but if I try to switch into eyefinity mode or extended mode I get nothing. Is there something else in the new CCC that I am missing? My pc is fully up to date. Even the bios was just recently flashed.. Playing games with crossfinity is terrible.. I am talking with just 2 gpu's. I get stuttering and screen tearing... still. My lanes are both 16x.. and it the cards work fine when using 1 screen.. so wtf.

Yeah I agree with you on the triple wide being a detriment as far skirmishes are concerned. But the single player might be fun to have triple wide resolutions. I played DOW2 sp in triple wide and it was ok, it probably would have been better with just 1 monitor though.

I know this is veering off-topic but on [H] forums another user posted the same thing - blinking in all driver versions except 10.3. Convinced him to try a different adapter, he did, and blinking was fixed. I believe the problem is a combination of both loose timings in the drivers and poor lenience ...

The issue is not with the drivers, its the active displayport adapter.
