Re: System has detected a problem with the connection between yo
So I recieved my replacement HD 5970 from Alton Micro. And I still am having the screen flicker every now and then off and on. It never did this until recently.
So what I've done so far now;
Alton Micro replaced the HD 5970 card. Cost $15 dollars to return it. Used my son's 8800GT while it was ...

System has detected a problem with the connection between yo
I was playing Medal of Honor in eyefinity mode and all of sudden the computer made the hardware sound. BEE-DOOP. And my monitors went black. I hit alt-tab which threw me back to windows and I had the following message on my screen

Re: lcd monitor 27" / 28"
Not sure how much you want to spend but the Dell 2709W is a very nice monitor and is 27" 1920x1200.
I have 3 of these monitors currently in eyefinity mode and they look great.

Re: DVI cable length
Since the middle monitor uses the display port and I have the extra DVI cable, what about just buying a DVI female/female adapter and diasy chain the 2 cables. Or would the single 6' be fine.

DVI cable length
So I will be building my new PC tonight and last night I set my 3 monitors up on my new desk. I got an executive desk so my PC will be on the right side of it and the DVI cable from the left monitor does not reach that far. If I get a 6' cable will I lose anything with the extra length or is it fine ...

Mainly the triple screen will help with when I work from home.
I VPN to work on one monitor.
I have Visual Studio open on another and I RDP into another system.
I understand it was a lot of money. But this system should last me a long time. Plus I got a good deal on the 3 27" monitors from ...

Re: Which CPU should I go with?
My son is the one who plays Rogue Warrior.
I mainly play Dragon Age Origins and COD:MW2
I've not found VS 2008 sluggish on my current system. I would keep my system but I'm thinking the CPU would definitely bottleneck the 5970.

Re: Making the jump to Eyefinity
So I noticed the Dell 2709W are on sale for $799. Only question I have about that is I can still get it cheaper from Buy.com, only $755.99 each, small shipping and no tax. So a savings of about $300.
Buy.com:
Items: $2,267.97
Shipping & Handling: $23.04
Tax: $0.00

Re: Making the jump to Eyefinity
So I know I've been looking at the Dell 2709W monitors, and using 3 of these.
Any other monitor recommendations?
How is the NEC MultiSync EA261WM-BK - LCD display - TFT - 26"?
or the ASUS VW266H Black 25.5" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD?
I know both these would require a DP-DVI ...

Re: Making the jump to Eyefinity
What do you mean by this exactly:
Remember that with Eyefinity you can't drop to something like 3x1920x1080, so you better get CrossFire or be happy turning settings down in some areas.
