Try connecting the displays as follows:

1-A, 1-B, 2-A. ie, move 2-A to 1-B, and 2-B to 2-A.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us I'm not 100% certain so if someone can confirm for me-you 12V Amps are 20V 40V 20V 40V. Could this be causing the fluctuations? As for your PCIe bandwidth, a x16 x16 x1 would be a problem. Setting your BIOS to x16 x8 x8 would be better. IMO, a x16 x8 x8 setup would resul...

IMO both NVIDIA and ATI have their share of problems with surround/eyefinity. A few things you could (and probably have) try: 1. Turn off eye candy. ie AA/AF/HBAO. The VRAM is insufficient to properly scale. 2. What PSU are you using? How old is it? My old quadfire 5970 had teething problems. It tur...

Actually, GTX480 has 1.5Gb VRAM. It makes a big difference in performance IMO. I too, like AA/AF in games. I can turn up settings (AA/AF/Post processing etc) and still get better performance than 5970 or in quadfire. Having 1Gb on 5970, it would bottleneck terribly @ hi res/settings. Any attempt to ...

After nearly a year of registry hacks, driver issues, driver mods (TwL drivers), performance issues and displayport issues, I sold my dual 5970s and 3x30" and went green. Too many people who had similar rigs I felt were being neglected. Key points I noticed were: 1. Installation and setup were a bre...

Hey there, I TOTALLY understand your situation. I thought the miniDP>VGA adapters solved the issue for users..... I had tried on numerous occasions to rectify this with AMD Tech Support. They blamed it on : 1. Drivers ("Will be rectified in future driver releases." It took them from Cat 9.12 hotfix ...

Hey there, Cat 10.6 were pretty unstable drivers IMO. I had exactly the same problems with DP monitor going to sleep/flickering with any drivers after Cat 10.3. Unplugging then reconnecting would give back a signal. The dongle/active display port adapter I was using was AMD certified including updat...

I was recently offered an exchange for my 3x30" Crossover 30Q5 Pro monitors for the Samsung Syncmaster MD230X3 (3x23") + $200. http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/231/captureiw.png http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/3208/capture1c.png I am not concerned pricewise. It is the same. 3x30" gives a total ...

Does anyone know if this issue happens less, or more on certain brands of cards? TBH, I don't think it's "brand" related. The only thing I haven't tried is the BIOS flash. This is the LAST resort. I can suggest three options: 1. Wait for better drivers. I know what you're thinking.......... 2. Go Gr...

Cat 10.7 Hotfix gave a performance boost. However, Dirt 2 crashes during level loading/benchmark. BC2 crashed. Hard reset. Tried reinstalling both games. Still the same. HAWX was the only game to run using quadfinity. 106 FPS ave. Crysis (2560x1600 Very High 0AA DX10) gave 55FPS ave. If it wasn't fo...

From experience, I found that Cat drivers are unique to each rig. ie, the variables are great. It sucks that a set of drivers (which are universal) are so SENSITIVE to hardware/software combinations. I would suggest to magnet : 1. Plug the adapter into a wall mounted USB unit. After testing, I found...

After months of not being able to use Cat 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7 due to flickering DP issues, I have found a solution. 1. I believe it's the DP adapter. I just ordered an Accell B087B-003J Mini DP adapter with firmware 2.0. I previously used an Accell B087B-002B with old firmware. 2. The DP adapt...

These issues have also been highlighted by recent tests featuring NVIDIA's competing Surround Vision multi-display technology. For nearly a year I and others have sent numerous tickets to AMD about this, without results. It took the above tests by NVIDIA to get them to do something about it. They ha...

I have the same problem. Cat 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6 gives the blinking and disappearing disply problem. Cat 10.3 has NO such problems. I don't believe Accell or the active DP adapter manufacturers are at fault. If it worked up 10.3, then isn't it a driver issue? (although ATI would defend this). Endles...

What adapters do I need, specifically do I need an (active?) mini-Display Port to VGA adapter OR an (active?) mini-Display Port to DVI adapter? Mini-Display Port to VGA adapter is not active. Mini-Display Port to DVI adapter is active. I believe you can use either. Mini-Display Port to VGA adapter w...

Hey there, DONT DO IT! Seriously, I have had problems since day one (December 2009) with WOEFUL performance/issues. Instead, go for 2gb 5870s, a 4Gb 5970, or a 5970 now then another later (when/if drivers mature). The rest of your rig is fine. This type of setup is not PnP. You need to have time/pat...

@ fiskstolpe TBH, I have a second rig for media. A 24" connected to a 40". Will try it tho. Thanks! @whismerhill whereas some people reports that even just a 5970 isn't that great over a 5870, higher FPS but less fluid overall experience ... After the issues I've had and are still having, not a bad ...
