I can't even play normal 1280x1024 game. My screen is behaving akward and it's unplayable. I've googled but didn't find any1 having exact problem like me. I don't have problem with colors but the screen. Don't know how to describe it but it feels ...

It seems to me that the method I used to patch AoE2 would be possible on this game too.. You'd have to find a way to fix the graphics files too, though.

For patching the exe, you'd be able to use the aoe2 patcher code pretty much literally, you'd just have to find all the relevant resolution ...

The locking is because of the color fix: it freezes the Explorer process... You'll have to accept that you can't alt-tab out of this almost 15 year old game... That server is in a reliable datacenter, so no I don't _should_ have some mirrors up. I can currently download the link from a proxy in the US, from my (EU) home, from my (EU) work. So I'm pretty sure it's your ISP or so messing this up.
