I broke down and ordered the monster DP to VGA adapter from Fry's to test this for myself. I'll report back. Update: After nothing but trouble with the accell DP->DVI adapter, I'm happy to report that yesterday I experienced my first flicker-free day of eyefinity. I also played BC2 for over 3 hours...

I've never touched the 10.5's, but from my experience and others, it seems anything in the 10.4 range added a lot of extra flickering. I'd say anything pre 10.4.

If you could, do your testing with a bin other than 10.4 as we know it introduced a lot more flickering. Thanks.

I heard about that file, but that's been over a month now since that was posted up. The only reason I'm currently sticking with any form of the 10.4's (10.4 preview) is because of the fix that corrected the load times for BC2, which I'm sure is probably not included in that file. I've had the flicke...

I thought I would include my setup and experience. 2 Sapphire HD5770's in xfire (Bios version 012.019.000.002.036154) Acell DP Adapter 3 Dell 1908FP Monitors From day one I have had a loss of signal on the DP monitor when changing resolutions (swapping in and out of eyefinity or exiting Bad Company ...

Looks as if there isn't going to be a solution anytime soon given the feedback, but thanks to those that chimed in. Just imaging your screen blacking out everytime you alt+tab out of the game to check something and having to turn it off/on to get it back. It's just frustrating is all.

Correct. You should be ok with the second card. I was able to get the latest bios update from Sapphire a while back, but at this point I don't know if any versions are going to make a difference. I guess the real question is whether or not the cards themselves are capable of handling it or if they c...

No tearing. Basically, this happens when the monitor is either waking up, changing resolutions or while gaming. The monitor will go black and usually displays a message saying something like, "this monitor supports a max res of 1280x1024", which is what it's set to.

Some did, but it seemed like many with 5870's were able to find a solution with a bios update. The same has not helped out with the 5770.

So I've been using eyefinity for a while now and have read just about every thead I can find on the subject, but there has yet to be a solution for the flashing monitor with the 5770's. I am running two of them in x-fire. I have the Accell adapter from amazon. My monitors are Dell 1908fp's, which ha...

Since I was running dell 1908fp standard monitors, I was hoping to run the game at 3840x1024, but the menu and hud would bleed onto the other screens as if it was meant more for widescreen. I ended up having to drop down to 3072x768 to get everything to position correctly on the middle screen.

So I'll probably have to wait for a solution from the community rather than the game devs. *Update* When the game detected my monitors, it also gave me the option of selecting 3072x768. I wasn't too thrilled with selecting that as I was hoping to go with 3840x1024, but I gave it a shot today. For so...

I'm having an issue getting the menu/hud to display properly when using eyefinity. I have 3 dell 1908fp 19" standard monitors running at 3840x1024. However, the menu/hud is pushed almost completly to the outer screens. This is obvious when first starting the game as the main screen is spread about 1...

Dave,

Can we expect to see a bios update for the other type of 5770's?

Now all we need is a bios fix for the 5770 :( I did some testing with my Accell (Amazon) adapter and Sapphire 5770's today by updating the bios to VER012.014.000.004.000000. As mentioned, this version also has a bug whereby the shader count is reduced from 800 to 720. I gave it a shot to see if it ...

So here's the burning question that I've seen posted in several forums that has yet to be answered. With the latest hotfix that enabled crossfire to work with eyefinity, this got many to thinking (including myself). Would it be possible to use the DVI output on the 2nd card instead of the DP on the ...

Nope that is not going to happen, all outputs have to come from the master card, sad I know.

Is this set in stone? Is there any chance of a software update down the road allowing for multiple-card connections or is just not physically possible?
